What is it?

Nutrition is one of the most powerful modifiable determinants of long-term health. Rather than focusing on individual foods or restrictive diets, the Future Health Nutrition Assessment evaluates your overall dietary pattern and identifies opportunities to improve health, physical performance and healthy ageing.

The assessment combines a detailed nutrition questionnaire with blood biomarkers, body composition, physical performance and your personal health goals to provide practical, evidence-based recommendations.

What does it measure?

Why is it important?

Diet influences virtually every aspect of health, including:

  • Cardiovascular disease

  • Type 2 diabetes

  • Obesity

  • Osteoporosis

  • Cancer

  • Dementia

  • Frailty

  • Muscle loss

  • Physical performance

  • Longevity

Small, sustainable dietary improvements often produce significant long-term health benefits.

Who may benefit?

Recommended for all Future Health patients.

Particularly valuable for those:

  • Wanting to lose weight

  • Improving metabolic health

  • Building muscle

  • Preventing osteoporosis

  • Optimising athletic performance

  • Reducing cardiovascular risk

  • Supporting healthy ageing

What happens during the assessment?

You complete a detailed nutrition questionnaire before your consultation.

Your responses are reviewed together with:

  • Blood test results

  • DEXA body composition

  • InBody analysis

  • VO₂max assessment

  • Physical activity

  • Medical history

This allows recommendations to be personalised rather than based on generic dietary advice.

Preparation

Complete the nutrition questionnaire as accurately as possible.

There are no "right" or "wrong" answers—the assessment is designed to identify practical opportunities for improvement rather than judge current eating habits.

Advantages

  • Personalised

  • Practical

  • Evidence based

  • Focuses on sustainable change

  • Integrates with all other Future Health assessments

Limitations

Dietary assessment relies on self-reported information and may not perfectly reflect long-term eating patterns.

Blood biomarkers and body composition provide important complementary information.

How Future Health uses this investigation

Nutrition is interpreted alongside:

  • DEXA Body Composition

  • InBody Analysis

  • VO₂max

  • VALD Strength Assessment

  • Blood biomarkers

  • Sleep

  • Physical activity

  • Personal health goals

Rather than prescribing a single "best diet," recommendations are individualised to improve long-term health while remaining realistic and sustainable.

Future Health Summary

Nutrition is one of the few health factors that influences almost every major chronic disease. The Future Health Nutrition Assessment provides practical, personalised recommendations designed to improve health, performance and healthy ageing through sustainable dietary change.
